Tonight

watching

minutes flow, like rainbow silhouette

strained

through gold

I see you

with me
noticing the light fall 

where it starts and stops,

and starts again

Shimmer fading . . .

pond mirrors soft light

Where hearts stood still,

awakened in silence

Twine cuts into these hands,
open hands

A twisting of threads
strong enough
to carry lightning thoughts;

shred
into the skin
of my open hands

To Float Far

Water

runs down my face

pumping through

every mile

walked barefoot

on stones

Can you see

the water

I want to float

let me

float far

from all that is

running

down my face
